Assisted Living Elder Care

Is a long term/short term care option that combines housing, support services & need based health care. A SILVER AMORE home is designed for Seniors who require assistance with everyday activities such as meals, medication management or assistance, in bathing and dressing. It is also for elders who may have memory disorders including Alzheimer’s/Dementia or they may need help with mobility, incontinence or other age related challenges. Residents are time to time assessed when they move in, or any time, if there is a change in condition.The assessment is used to develop an Individual Service Plan.

Respite Care

Is the provision of short term accommodation at A SILVER AMORE home. Respite programs provides time bound breaks for families and unpaid care givers; it also provides a positive experience for the person receiving care. We understand that many families take great joy in providing care to their loved ones, but at times the physical, emotional and financial circumstances can be overwhelming, without some support by way of a respite. Hence at A SILVER AMORE home we have a provision for a short stay that can be anything between 15 days to maximum three months, depending on availability of rooms.

Dementia Care

We have trained our staff at A SILVER AMORE home to provide care for persons challenged with dementia. This involves redirection, engagement, mental and psychical stimulation, simplifying complex tasks and speaking to seniors at a slow pace in an appropriate tone. Brain fitness will be promoted using games, puzzles, crosswords etc. The facility has secured an environment that enables persons with dementia to stroll freely in a protected and supervised environment.

Parkinson’s Care

Is a neurological disorder that occurs when certain neurons in the brain die or become impaired. Persistent body tremors are the most common symptom of Parkinson ’s disease in the elderly. Sluggish movement, stiffness and challenges with balance are also indicators, as are hand cramps, shuffling; frozen facial expression, muffled speech patterns and depression are other symptoms. At A SILVER AMORE home, seniors with Parkinson’s disease will undergo a range of motion exercises as advised by medical experts to prevent contractures and maintain their mobility. Our staff will ensure that durable medical equipment such as walking sticks, walkers and wheelchairs etc on paid basis, are used by the seniors to assist with ambulation and prevent falls.

Pre & Post Hospitalization

It may include medication and nursing supervision. At A SILVER AMORE home, trained caregivers and nurse will be available 24 x 7 for basic nursing supervision and medication management. This kind of care can be pre hospitalization and upon discharge from hospital. For post operative patients most general complications is due to inactivity. Prolonged inactivity can also cause a loss of muscle strength. Our trained professionals will make sure that proper care is given as per the requirement of the patients. Physiotherapist help could be sought on paid basis for needed exercises for patient undergone orthopedic surgery as per the doctor’s instruction. The patients would be provided with meals that would be specially prepared as per dietician recommendation .
